Our Programs
Liberty Employment Services focuses on transforming and empowering adults with intellectual disabilities from traditional searches that offer hollow opportunities to a personal and individualized service that offers each individual an opportunity to become successful working in the community. Our service is the genesis of life changing skills and the stimulus for skill and career development with leads to reaching their goals. The philosophy is that each individual is gifted. Our aim is to unlock those gifts by teaching, modeling, and embellishing the individual talents of each individual. With over 30 years of combined experience in the service industry, our team of professionals has developed effective strategies that improve the employability of each participant.
Community Integration
Liberty Employment Services provides a community integration program that is 100% community based with a goal to transition each individual to a Supported Employment Program. Individuals will be supported in exploring and participating in community‐based recreational activities and cultural events of their own choosing to enrich and fulfill their lives, such as swimming, bowling, shopping, attending local festivals, concerts, plays, football games, museums, etc. Access to community services, a community college program, mobility training, and public transportation are included in the supports and services provided for community integration. As appropriate, family and members of the community are encouraged to participate in social activities, such as family picnics, attending consumer drama productions, specific projects, trips, etc.
behavior Management
Liberty Employment Services provides a behavioral day program utilizing community generic resources as well as business and non-profit community partners in community settings. Our program supports each client as a unique person offering a variety of activities based upon behavioral challenges, vocational skills, needs for community integration and employment opportunities of each individual. Our continuum of services individuals with intellectual disabilities help those who want meaningful work to access the tool that can help them be successful.
Self‐Advocacy
Individuals will be supported in exploring and participating in self‐advocacy activities of their own choosing, such as Current Events group, Developmental Disabilities Council, PeopleFirst, and civic advisory committees.
We provide access to communication support, emotional support, financial management skills, independent living skills, self determination preparation and participation, health and safety preparation, and community services are included in the supports and services provided for self‐advocacy.
Self‐Care
Individuals, if necessary, will be supported in exploring and participating in self‐care activities. Access to personal care training, independent living skills, cooking and meal preparation, health and safety preparation, sexuality training, and community services are included in the supports and services provided for self‐care.
Employment Training
Individuals will be supported in exploring and participating in employment training activities of their own choosing, including volunteer work. Access to mobility training, volunteer work, computer and internet training and use, a community college program, independent living skills, and community services are included in the supports and services provided for employment training.
